Jupiter

Jupiter is the largest planet in the Solar System, known for its massive size, thick atmosphere, and prominent banded appearance. It is a gas giant, primarily composed of hydrogen and helium, and lacks a solid surface. Jupiter is famous for its Great Red Spot, a gigantic storm larger than Earth, and its many moons, including four large ones known as the Galilean moons: Io, Europa, Ganymede, and Callisto. Being the third-brightest object in the night sky, after the Moon and Venus, Jupiter has been studied extensively by astronomers. Its strong magnetic field and extensive ring system are also notable features. Jupiter is named after the king of the Roman gods in mythology, reflecting its status among planets.
