NASA

NASA, or the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, is the United States government agency responsible for the nation’s civilian space program and for aeronautics and aerospace research. Established in 1958, NASA conducts space exploration missions, conducts scientific research in space and Earth sciences, and develops new technologies related to aviation and space travel. The agency’s roles include launching and managing space missions, such as crewed trips to the International Space Station (ISS), robotic explorations of other planets, and the study of Earth’s climate and atmospheric conditions. NASA also collaborates with international space agencies and private sector partners to advance space exploration and technology development.
