Space Warfare

Space warfare refers to the use of space technology and strategies in military operations, particularly involving the engagement of military forces and assets in outer space. It encompasses a range of activities, including the deployment of weapons in space, the destruction or neutralization of adversarial satellites, and the defense of one’s own space assets from attack. The term also covers the potential for conflict on celestial bodies, such as the Moon or Mars, and involves the strategic use of satellites for communication, surveillance, navigation, and reconnaissance in support of terrestrial military operations. As space becomes increasingly contested and militarized, space warfare raises significant legal, ethical, and security issues on a global scale.
