Super-Earths

Super-Earths are a class of exoplanets that have a mass larger than Earth’s but significantly less than that of gas giants like Neptune or Uranus. Typically, super-Earths have a mass ranging from about 1 to 10 times that of Earth. These planets can vary in composition, which may include rocky surfaces or substantial atmospheres, and they may be located within their star’s habitable zone, where conditions might allow for the presence of liquid water. The discovery of super-Earths has broadened the understanding of planetary systems and potential habitability beyond our own solar system.
